VIDEO PRODUCTION TERMS & DELIVERABLE DEFINITIONS

"Raw Footage" refers to video files delivered exactly as recorded by the camera, without any editing, color correction, color grading, visual effects, graphics, transitions, cropping, stabilization, or audio enhancement.
Raw footage may include:
• Multiple takes of the same scene
• Camera setup and breakdown moments
• Missed shots, mistakes, or unusable clips
• Untrimmed recordings
• Natural camera movement and exposure variationsRaw footage is provided as captured and is considered untouched, unedited source material.

An edited video is a finished production assembled from selected footage and may include:
• Clip selection and sequencing
• Removal of mistakes and unusable footage
• Color correction and grading
• Audio cleanup and balancing
• Music
• Graphics, titles, and logos
• Transitions and effects
• Export in final delivery formats -
B-roll is supplemental footage used to support the main story or subject matter.
Examples include:
• Facility or office footage
• Product close-ups
• Employees working
• Customer interactions
• Exterior and interior location shots
• Environmental detailsB-roll is typically used to visually enhance interviews, testimonials, promotional videos, and documentary-style content.

A-roll refers to the primary footage that drives the narrative.
Examples include:
• Interviews
• Presentations
• On-camera speaking segments
• Testimonials
• DemonstrationsA-roll typically contains the main message, dialogue, or story.

Audio capture refers to the recording of sound during production.
Audio may include:
• Interview audio
• Dialogue
• Ambient room sound
• Natural environmental sound
• Event audio
• Microphone recordingsRaw audio capture is delivered as recorded and may contain background noise, room echo, environmental sounds, or volume inconsistencies.

Edited audio may include:
• Noise reduction
• Volume balancing
• Removal of unwanted sounds
• Audio enhancement
• Mixing of music and dialogue

Raw Footage Package
• Unedited camera files only
• No editing or post-production services includedB-Roll Package
• Supplemental footage captured during production

Raw footage is not automatically included with video production services unless specifically listed in the project proposal or agreement.
When requested, raw footage delivery may be subject to an additional fee to cover media management, file preparation, storage, transfer, and delivery.
Raw footage is delivered in the format recorded by the camera and may require specialized software, codecs, or technical knowledge to view and edit.
The production company is not responsible for organizing, renaming, trimming, synchronizing, color correcting, grading, stabilizing, or otherwise preparing raw footage unless specifically included in the scope of work.

Unless otherwise stated in writing, the client is granted usage rights to the final delivered content outlined in the project agreement.
Transfer of raw footage, project files, source files, or full ownership of production assets is not included by default and must be specifically negotiated and documented.

Raw footage may include:

• Unused or rejected takes
• Ambient recordings
• Incomplete sequencesNo guarantee is made that all recorded footage is suitable for publication, editing, or commercial use.

Unless specifically contracted, raw footage delivery does not include:
• Editing
• Clip selection
• Color correction
• Color grading
• Audio cleanup
• Audio synchronization
• Music licensing
• Graphics or titles
• Motion graphics
• Visual effects
• Subtitles or captions
• Exporting multiple versions -
By selecting a Raw Footage Package or requesting raw footage delivery, the client acknowledges that raw footage is unfinished source material delivered exactly as recorded and does not include any post-production services.
The following definitions apply to all video production projects unless otherwise agreed to in writing.
